Illadel Black Label Chisel Tip Valve Markers Now Available
The Illadel Black Label Chisel Tip Valve Markers are finally available. I’ve been searching for a manufacturer for these empty valve markers for literally 5 or 6 years (minus the 31 months I was in prison) and I finally found a high quality empty that I can work with. The empty plastic markers would have been a good choice but the xylene-based Black Label ink either melts the plastic until it’s all deformed or flat out burns a hole in the plastic, making a giant mess that you definitely will not be able to clean off the floor. So anyway, here we are, with the exact type of marker needed with the best ink available.
The marker itself has a metal barrel/ink reservoir that is filled with the OG recipe Illadel bombing ink. The ink is xylene-based, so it’s pretty vicious by itself, but after I add my favorite lab-grade staining agent it’s curtains. The ink is double opaque so it covers extremely well and adheres to pretty much any surface that it can dry on. It bleeds through black when buffed with oil-based paint or primer and it seeps into any porous surface and stains hard enough to leave a nice ghost tag if the buffman is lucky enough to get any of the ink off the surface.
The 8.5mm nib is made of old school fiber instead of the white styrofoam cheap shit everyone uses nowadays, so it will stay saturated with ink so it doesn’t streak while you write. You can also fray the nib with a razor blade to make it write wider than the stock nib. Another plus is I don’t glue the head over the valve so you can’t unscrew & refill it. Alot of other products are made for one use & you have to buy another. These are refillable and the nib can be easily replaced if need-be.
