Wu-Tang Clan Receives New York City Day of Honor
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has officially declared November 9 as Wu-Tang Clan Day in honor of the iconic Staten Island rap group. This announcement aligns with the 30th anniversary of the release of their groundbreaking debut album, “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers),” in 1993, under BMG, RCA Records, and Loud Records. Frontman RZA’s executive production on the album solidified Wu-Tang’s status as a prominent force in New York hip-hop.
On the same day, November 9, Legacy Records will launch a special vinyl edition of “Enter the Wu-Tang,” featuring album-themed trading cards, a book of LP notes, and exclusive photos and interviews with RZA.
Adding to the celebration, the Empire State Building in Manhattan will illuminate in the distinctive black and yellow hues of Wu-Tang, symbolizing a fitting tribute to the group’s enduring legacy.
