NBA Youngboy Sentenced To The Feds For Utah Drug Case

NBA YoungBoy has been sentenced in his Utah prescription drug fraud case.

On Monday (November 18), Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, known as NBA YoungBoy, appeared in Logan District Court, where he pleaded guilty to charges linked to a prescription drug fraud operation allegedly run from his Huntsville, Utah, mansion.

In a plea deal, YoungBoy avoided state prison time as prosecutors dropped 46 felony charges to a few misdemeanors. He admitted guilt to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery, and six misdemeanor pharmacy-related offenses.

The court fined him $25,000. While avoiding Utah prison, YoungBoy faces a 27-month federal sentence for related charges, including firearm possession by a felon, stemming from his arrest during a raid on the drug fraud scheme. Afterward, he’ll serve five years of federal probation.

Judge Spencer Walsh acknowledged YoungBoy’s talent, urging him to overcome addiction and pursue his potential after serving his time. “Once you’re done with federal prison, I hope you can achieve success and reach your full potential. Best of luck, Mr. Gaulden,” Walsh said.
