According to authorities, four men were shot, one fatally, while attempting to paint over graffiti on the wall of a Los Angeles ice cream shop. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Northridge area of the San Fernando Valley, and the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating.

Before the shooting, two of the men offered to paint over the graffiti for free, according to Victor Santoyo, the shop owner. After he gave them some paint, gunshots were heard a few minutes later. Surveillance video shows the four men ducking from the gunfire.

One of the victims, believed to be around 60 years old, died, and a man in his 40s was in critical condition. The other two victims, thought to be in their 30s and 40s, were also hospitalized, but one has since been released. Police suspect that the shooter was driving a white sedan and are seeking witnesses and additional surveillance footage from the area. The neighborhood is located around 20 miles (32 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
