Shirt King Phade x Museum Of Graffiti
The Museum of Graffiti is thrilled to present an exclusive evening featuring the legendary graffiti artist and airbrush pioneer, Edwin “PHADE” Sacasa, widely known as Shirt King PHADE. In partnership with Modelo’s Summer Culture Series, which aims to honor the contributions of black and brown graffiti artists across generations, PHADE will lead an extraordinary Airbrush Masterclass on July 7th, 2023, from 6pm to 9pm. This event is free and open to the public.
PHADE, renowned as the co-founder of Shirt Kings in the 1980s alongside Nike and Kasheme, is an iconic artist who revolutionized the art of airbrushing with his boundless creativity and visionary designs. With its headquarters in Jamaica, Queens, Shirt Kings has been a prominent hub for hip-hop artists and enthusiasts seeking one-of-a-kind, customized airbrush designs for over forty years. The roster of Shirt Kings boasts esteemed names such as Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, and Jay-Z, firmly establishing the brand at the crossroads of streetwear and high fashion.
