Adversarial Fractal Hoodies
The Adversarial Fractal Hoodies, also known as the “Hacker Hoody” or “Camera-Shy Hoody” look like a promising piece of technology for vandals and criminals to use while out & about doing their thing. I actually kinda reminds me of the the A-Team movie (the newer one with Liam Neeson) whenthe crooked-ass CIA operative went to the military prison Hannibal was being held in. In the movie, when the CIA dude walked through the hallways, past the CCTV cameras there was a bright white, kind of fuzzy interference right where his head was, making it impossible for the cameras to see his face.
That’s that clever shit I’m talking about right there. It’s hard to get away with shit anymore, especially nowadays when there’s at least 3-4 cameras at every intersection, not to mention all them god-forsaken doorbell cameras that all the civilian crime-stoppers have. Everybody wants to be a friggin’ hero nowadays, it’s sickening. Anyway, here’s some info on these heaven-sent hoodies.
What Is The Hacker Hoody & How’s It Work?
With the continuous evolution of technology and fashion, design concepts that push boundaries are gaining more popularity. One recent example is the integration of powerful infrared LEDs into a sweatshirt.
The Hacker Hoody, or Camera-Shy Hoody, is an innovative creation by artist Mac Pierce that uses infrared LED lights to make the wearer undetectable to surveillance cameras. The LEDs are strategically placed around the chest, shoulders, and back of the hoodie and can be set to a strobing mode, which causes the image to be overexposed and the wearer unidentifiable. The project’s description notes that this feature utilizes the same infrared wavelength commonly used by security cameras as flood lights for night vision.
While the Camera-Shy Hoodie may make the wearer unidentifiable on camera, it may also attract the attention of nearby security guards. However, the placement of the LEDs around the upper chest, shoulders, and back also make it an instant fashion statement, at least on an infrared-sensitive camera. If you’re looking for a way to stay ahead of the curve and avoid being detected on camera, this innovative piece of clothing may be just what you need.
The artist/creator of this magnificent garment also shared a guidebook for anyone interested in making their own “hacker hoody. Click right here to access/download the PDF.
Now make sure to keep in mind that this infrared shit only blocks the cameras, so I would also wear a mask or something because you can’t keep the bystanders and civilians (witnesses, C.I.’s, rats, etc.) from seeing your face. Always be prepared, especially if your doing some serious shit.
