Cochran claims ownership of the copyright to the image and is seeking damages, as well as any profits from merchandise sales. The lawsuit alleges that Dipset Couture LLC knowingly copied and displayed the photograph on their website without permission, violating United States copyright laws.

Despite receiving multiple notifications from Getty Images about their infringing activities, the defendants continued to sell merchandise and display the photograph on their website and social media accounts.

The photograph in question, taken during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in February 2002, features Cam’ron wearing his iconic pink fur coat and speaking on a pink flip phone. The coat has since become a cherished item in hip-hop culture, with Cam’ron even turning down a $300,000 USD offer to sell it.
