So Dr. Dre is finally gonna get a star on the Hollywood “Walk of Fame” along with a few others. The Walk of Fame selection committee recently unveiled their decision to immortalize Dr. Dre and “the Voice of New York” Angie Martinez among the illustrious stars, expanding the representation of 31 notable figures on this iconic thoroughfare.
The class of 2024 for the Hollywood Walk of Fame was revealed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Monday, June 26. Among the distinguished honorees, the renowned host and rapper stood out as the sole individual chosen for the Radio category. Additionally, the Aftermath Records founder was selected for the Recording category. Dr. Dre’s inclusion alongside other iconic artists such as Toni Braxton, Brandy Norwood, and more reflects the exceptional talent being recognized.
Notably, the late Otis Redding will be bestowed with a posthumous star in the Live Theater/Performance category, commemorating his significant contributions. Furthermore, Chadwick Boseman, who left a profound impact on the world of cinema, will be honored posthumously in the Motion Pictures category, paying tribute to his remarkable career.
