Drake Debuts “The Nike Book Chapter 1” Live In Concert
During the Labor Day Weekend, Devin Booker teased his upcoming signature shoe in a series of carefully timed videos on his Instagram. These videos, reminiscent of camcorder-style compilations, offered glimpses into his summer and eventually led to the official unveiling of his inaugural footwear creation: the Nike Book Chapter 1.
Booker’s shoe design reflects his refined “old soul” personality. The silhouette draws significant inspiration from past Nike Basketball models, akin to a contemporary on-court version of the Air Force 1 with a touch of Kobe 4 DNA woven into its design. Notably, the Book 1 also showcases potential for a lifestyle-oriented direction, as demonstrated in the initial “Wear Test” video.
The Nike Book Chapter 1 made its debut in a vibrant orange colorway, featuring suede throughout the entire upper. A special pair was gifted to Drake, who wore them during his Phoenix performance as part of his ongoing “It’s All A Blur” tour. The shoes perfectly complemented Drake’s signature vest and baggy pants ensemble, a recurring outfit during his nationwide tour.
