Graff Palettes Part 1
What exactly is a Color Palette?
A color palette, in the digital world, refers to the full range of colors that can be displayed on a device screen or other interface, or in some cases, a collection of colors and tools for use in paint and illustration programs. The color palette reveals a lot about the electronic design of the device or technology, and its visual capabilities for human users.
A Graff Palette is a color combination used by the writer/artist in the production of their piece(s). Each color used is “documented” and superimposed over an image of the final piece, more than likely in Photoshop.
Alot of writers, when they prepare their sketches for a piece they’re going to do later on, will draw their outline and write down the color name(s) for each part of the piece (fill, 3D, glow, background, etc.). One step past these palettes would be to include the color name & brand of paint.
This is a very cool idea, put together by a bunch of writers and submitted to #graffpalettes. I’m not sure if someone uses their personal account to make all the images because all that shows is the hashtag. Anyway, enjoy.
