Hollywood Hills Mansion Smashed With Graffiti

A mansion in the Hollywood Hills has become a notorious eyesore after being overtaken by taggers and squatters, as seen in a new video from FOX 11 Los Angeles.

The abandoned property, located at the corner of Multiview and Mulholland near the Universal City Overlook, is viewed by neighbors as a safety hazard.

“Every time we call, the police come and clear it out, but within an hour or two, five more people are back, staying the night,” a neighbor told ABC 7 News.

The same neighbor said the mansion has become a hub for criminal activity, recounting how squatters allegedly attacked a neighbor with steel rebar and a beer bottle.

The graffiti covering the mansion is reminiscent of “Tagger Tower,” a downtown Los Angeles skyscraper abandoned in 2019 and now covered in spray paint.

The mansion is owned by film producer John Powers Middleton, son of Philadelphia Phillies owner John S. Middleton. A spokesperson for the Phillies clarified, “The California properties are owned solely by John Powers Middleton. No other members of the Middleton family have any involvement.”

Middleton is best known for producing films like Oldboy (2013) and Manchester by the Sea (2016).
