Judge Grants Boosie Bail On His Federal Gun Charge
It appears that the judge in Boosie’s fed case decided to grant him bail. Good shit. I don’t really post too much of the celebrity “news” or any of the TMZ-type cornball bullshit because it’s wack as hell and there’s plenty of celebrity dick-eaters out there already. I did post the last article on Boosie the other day when he got booked in San Diego and everybody in hip-hop was going crazy, talkin’ all the usual bullshit as soon as someone that’s considered a real or thorough person takes a hit. There was people on their podcasts saying he’s getting 10-20 years, others saying he’s definitely 100% gonna snitch on people, etc., etc. I follow Boosie and I dig how he moves. His VladTV interviews are great because he says what he feels, not what people wanna hear. Anyway, good for him on getting that bail. Check below for the release info from AllHipHop.com.
Boosie, the rapper who faced state gun charges in San Diego, has been granted bail in his federal gun case by Judge Allison Goddard, as reported by ABC 10 in San Diego. In May, Boosie was arrested by the San Diego police during a traffic stop for being a felon in possession of a firearm. However, the state gun case against him was dismissed on June 14.
Shortly after the dismissal, federal agents apprehended Boosie, alleging that he had illegally carried a pistol during a music video shoot in May. The agents claimed to have seen Boosie with the gun on Instagram Live.
Meghan Blanco, Boosie’s lawyer, criticized the authorities for what she believed was an excessive approach to the felon in possession of a firearm case. Blanco accused the federal agents of harassing her client and expressed outrage over their actions.
Blanco stated, “It is outrageous that the government decided to swoop on the day that he was going to enter a plea for probation, pull him in federally, detain him and then announce an inability to move forward with their detention hearing, knowing what he had scheduled the following weekend.”
While out on bail, Boosie will be restricted from traveling outside of the United States. His next court appearance is set for June 29.
