Keefe D Facing Charges In Tupac Shakur Murder

Recent developments in the 2Pac murder case have gained momentum, with reports indicating that former Compton Crip gang leader Duane “Keefe D” Davis may soon face charges. According to The Sun, Keefe D, who previously boasted about his involvement in the assassination of 2Pac (Tupac Shakur), is now under the imminent threat of prosecution, with Las Vegas homicide investigators taking the lead in this nearly 27-year-old cold case.

With the support of the district attorney, authorities have reportedly compiled a compelling case against Keefe D, a childhood friend of the iconic N.W.A. frontman Eazy-E. They are scheduled to present their findings to a secret jury next month. This presentation will include a substantial amount of evidence, including witness testimonies related to 2Pac’s murder and Keefe’s alleged involvement. However, Keefe D himself will not be allowed to attend the hearing. The grand jury will be tasked with assessing whether the presented evidence is substantial enough to proceed with prosecution.

According to insiders cited by The Sun, the district attorney is considering the possibility of pursuing first-degree murder charges against Keefe D, based on Nevada law.

Keefe D, who is now 60 years old, has given multiple interviews and authored a self-published memoir titled “Compton Street Legend,” in which he confessed to his role in the shooting of 2Pac. He claimed to have been in the vehicle and handed the murder weapon to his nephew, Orlando Anderson, who allegedly fired the fatal shots.

These developments come following a search of Davis’ home by law enforcement as part of the long-dormant investigation into the rapper’s death. During the search, various items were seized, including computers, hard drives, and magazine articles about 2Pac. Investigators also recovered photographs from the 1990s that may be linked to individuals connected directly or indirectly to the shooting, as well as copies of Davis’ 2019 book.

While investigators have long believed that the primary gunman may be deceased (Orlando Anderson was killed in an unrelated gang shooting in 1998), they remain hopeful that they can identify and charge any potential accomplices.

The murder of 2Pac has long been believed to be connected to an altercation that took place between the rapper, his entourage, and Orlando Anderson in the lobby of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas just hours before the fatal shooting occurred.

Orlando Anderson, a member of the South Side Compton Crips, was suspected of having stolen a chain belonging to an affiliate of Death Row Records several months prior to the shooting. He was identified as a suspect shortly after the shooting, but he consistently denied any involvement and was never officially charged in connection with the crime. To date, no arrests have been made in the case, and it remains unsolved.

In my honest opinion, VladTV put everything together years ago and solved the case for the most part. He (Vlad) interviewed the homicide detectives investigating the case, the alleged shooters, gang bangers involved, and pretty much anyone that was involved with the Tupac murder. Now Keefe D violated a proffer agreement he made with prosecutors by opening his mouth in a separate interview (allegedly) and fucked himself all up. Now he’s pretty much done for. I’ve personally watched at least 2 or 3 Keefe D interviews on VladTV that I can remember, and keep in mind Vlad wasn’t the only one doing interviews with Keefe D over the years. He also wrote a book as well. Basically, the moral to the story is if you get away with murder, keep your fuckin’ mouth shut.

Below is a flashback clip of some VladTV content on the Tupac murder.
Deep Dive: Why Las Vegas Police Didn’t Close the 2Pac Murder Case for 27 Years

In light of recent developments in the murder of 2Pac, this VladTV Flashback from 2021 is from the seventh installment of the ‘Deep Dive’ series. The clip finds co-producer of “Unsolved” Mike Dorsey questioning why the Las Vegas PD has never closed 2Pac’s murder case. Dorsey points out the mountain of evidence pointing to Orlando Anderson being 2Pac’s killer, and he goes on to break down the incidents leading up to 2Pac and Suge Knight being shot.
