Missionary – A Short Film ft. Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre dropped their highly anticipated Missionary album on Friday (Dec. 13), accompanied by a cinematic short film.
The mini-movie opens and closes with explosive visuals for singles “Outta Da Blue” and “Gorgeous,” which features Jhené Aiko.
Narrated by Method Man, the film portrays Dre and Snoop as vigilante superheroes protecting their community. When not in the studio, the duo rescues kidnapped children, confronts elder abusers, and eliminates their enemies, storing the bodies in a hidden freezer beneath Dre’s Aftermath lounge—or disposing of them at sea via the Missionary boat.
The film balances action with humor, including a scene where Dre claims a pair of rare Eminem Air Jordan 4s from a victim after Snoop points out their five-figure value. Snoop even jokes about Tyrese altering his shirts by cutting off his nipples.
50 Cent makes a surprise cameo in the credits, confronting Dre and Snoop after they suspect his involvement in a murder. “You taught me this, OGs. Now take your a** back to the club before I snatch that crown forever,” he quips.
The Missionary album features standout track “Gunz N Smoke” with Eminem and 50 Cent, alongside contributions from Jelly Roll, Sting, BJ the Chicago Kid, and more.
