Murda Mook vs. Party Arty Battle
Now the Murda Mook vs. Party Arty Battle from 2004 is one of the illest rap battles caught on tape. In the early stages of battle rap’s evolution, prior to its current status as a thriving industry, SMACK DVD presented audiences with an unfiltered glimpse into the world of emerging lyricists engaging in intense verbal confrontations. This battle is up there with the Freeway vs. Cassidy battle where Cass almost ended Free’s career before he got started. I believe it was SmackDVD who set this whole thing up and the original uploads were in 3 separate parts because the NY piglets kept breaking up the crowd that was there to watch the battle. For those who don’t know about Smack, he was one of the original hood-to-hood cats that recorded alot of battles, footage with the hottest rappers at the time, and other hiphop-related hood shit.
“Murda Mook vs Party Arty. This classic battle was highly anticipated and delivered on every level. These two lyrical combatants demonstrate the essence of HipHop competition and show why there is nothing in the world like a Smack/URL MC Battle.”
