Quando Rondo Arrested On Federal Drug Charges
Quando Rondo is currently under federal custody due to charges related to drug offenses, as reported by ABC affiliate WJCL. The Georgia rapper, known by his real name Tyquian Bowman, was arrested by the FBI in Savannah around midnight last Saturday. The arrest took place when Quando was pulled over at the intersection of Burroughs Street and 37th Street, and he was apprehended without any incident. Following his arrest, the 24-year-old artist was subsequently booked at the Chatham County Detention Center.
This development comes several months after Quando Rondo’s previous arrest in July, where he faced charges including two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, one count of involvement in criminal activity associated with a street gang, and one count of the illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug transaction. Quando was among 19 individuals named in a comprehensive indictment, comprising 49 charges related to drug offenses, gang affiliation, and the illicit use of cell phones. His alleged violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act stems from his purported role as a manager within the local set of the Rollin’ 60’s Crips gang.
In the previous arrest in July, Quando Rondo was granted a $100,000 bail with specific conditions, including surrendering his passport, maintaining no contact with co-defendants, and refraining from carrying firearms or possessing illegal substances. Chatham County Superior Court Judge Tammy Stokes emphasized the significance of Quando voluntarily surrendering himself for arrest the day after learning about the warrant during that time.
