Arsenal Co. of Bulgaria utilizes hot-die hammer forging to produce the receiver from a receiver blank. This forging method is known for creating stronger and finer-grained steel compared to receivers machined from bar stock.
The 5-ton hammer forging process effectively eliminates internal voids and cooling deformations, resulting in a receiver with enhanced strength and integrity. After the forging process, each receiver undergoes a milling process that takes approximately 5.5 hours to complete. This meticulous milling ensures precision and fine-tuning of the receiver before assembly.
