The Anarchist Cookbook

The Anarchist Cookbook is one of those books that you might have heard about but never actually laid eyes on. The younger cats out there today might have never even heard of this book, but the older fellas, I’m sure most have had a chance to check it out. It was removed from alot of stores a while back due to the nature of the contents, which some might think should not be available to the public because of the ways the book explains how to make explosives, home-made guns, poisons, booby-traps, etc. I enjoyed all the information and diagrams inside and just knowing that if I ever needed to do someone really dirty I would have the know-how to do whatever needed doing. Plus I like to research things and know how to make stuff so this book was quite entertaining to me.

Not to be on any goofy shit either, but the way things are looking in society right now with all the gun violence, the racial bullshit that’s going on, the pandemic, the drugs, the homelessness, I always feel like it’s better to have the know-how to make weapons and be able to take care of yourself by yourself if that makes any sense. Or maybe all the time I’ve spent in jails & prisons has just fucked me up, always waiting for shit to pop off, which it usually did. And trust me, it’s a bad look getting caught lacking, just ask any of the people in jail or the street that had beef and ended up getting trashed because they were ill-prepared for the situation. Since I’m a convicted felon with a record as long as Broad Street I can’t legally (*legally) own a firearm so any advantage I could create for myself just in case “shit pops off” will work in my favor.

If you’ve never heard of The Anarchist Cookbook I suggest you check it out. It used to be hard to find and at one time was removed from book stores all over the country but thanks to the internet, it’s widely available everywhere online. Below is a little glimpse into the book.

“The Anarchist Cookbook, first published in 1971, is a book containing instructions for the manufacture of explosives, rudimentary telecommunications phreaking devices, and related weapons, as well as instructions for the home manufacture of illicit drugs, including LSD. It was written by William Powell at the apex of the counterculture era to protest against United States’s involvement in the Vietnam War. Powell converted to Anglicanism in 1976 and later attempted to have the book removed from circulation. However, the copyright belonged to the publisher, who continued circulation until the company was acquired in 1991. Its legality has been questioned in several jurisdictions.”

A quick look at the Contents page showing some of the topics covered in The Anarchist Cookbook.

A field manual for civil unrest, The Anarchist Cookbook if something you wanna read from front to back, especially if you are into that type of thing. Alot of the recipes and home-made weapons and boobytraps were made and tested by quite a few individuals. The good people at Vice actually tried and succeeded making some explosives in the video below.

With that being said, anyone interested in checking The Anarchist Cookbook out can view & download the online PDF version right here. Just remember, if you have any ideas or plans to try to make any of the stuff in the book, use all necessary safety materials like respirators, gloves, eye protector, etc. And make sure you do it outside somewhere where there isn’t alot of people with their camera phones that are looking for someone to call the cops on. Also, we are not responsible for anyone burning their house down, blowing fingers or hands off, going blind, overdosing, etc. Use extreme caution (and common sense) if you plan on testing any of the recipes in this book.
