This person claimed to have pilfered a collection of shower clocks from a store called Fortunoff.
Flavor Flav recounts the incident, saying, “So one day, purely as a joke, this individual strolled into my projects, peddling these shower clocks they had absconded with from Fortunoff.” Continuing his narrative, he adds, “Now, my buddy, Son of Berserk, happened to be present at that time. He playfully removed the stopwatch from around my neck and substituted it with one of the shower clocks. This unexpected twist sparked laughter and amusement among everyone witnessing the spectacle.”
Throughout his illustrious career, Flavor Flav has proudly adorned himself with these distinctive clock chains, becoming closely associated with them. So, during our opening act for the Beastie Boys in Passaic, New Jersey, back in 1986, I proudly sported the clock, Roxanne. And the very next day, it was incredible to see the clock featured on the front pages of renowned publications such as Newsday, New York Times, and New York Post. The uniqueness of the clock’s appearance was undeniably captivating.”
