Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Bred” Dropping In 2025
The Air Jordan 1 Hi 1985 “Bred” will be Celebrating their 40th anniversary.
Jordan Brand is finally bringing back the legendary Air Jordan 1 “Bred” in its original Hi ‘85 form in 2025. This exciting news, initially reported by Sneaker Files and zsneakerheadz, arrives at a time when interest in the model has been waning. Once the hottest shoe in the Air Jordan lineup during the latter half of the 2010s and the early 2020s, with every colorway selling out on release day, Michael Jordan’s inaugural signature sneaker has lost its luster as consumer preferences shift towards more technical running shoes. Additionally, the Air Jordan 1 faces oversupply issues, while other models in the Air Jordan series, like the Air Jordan 4, steal the spotlight.
However, in what appears to be a celebration of the model’s 40th anniversary, Jordan Brand is making a grand comeback. The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 is the brand’s most faithful recreation of the original design, and its “Lost & Found” colorway (a variation of the OG Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”) enjoyed significant success in 2022.
Named after its iconic black and red color scheme, this rendition of the “Bred” will boast a full leather construction for the first time since its 2016 retro release (previous re-releases occurred in 2009, 2001, and 1994). Notably, a “Satin” iteration hit the shelves in 2023, followed by a patent leather version in 2021. The provided image showcases an original 1985 pair, and it seems that the upcoming re-release will not include the artificially aged detailing seen on the “Lost & Found” edition.
As of now, specific details such as the release date and pricing remain undisclosed. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.
