Kobe Bryant, who started his sneaker career with Adidas, had an illustrious history in footwear. To terminate his contract with adidas early, he had to pay millions and was left without a contract until 2003. During this time, he wore various brands and shoe designs, including the Air Flight Huarache in Los Angeles Lakers-themed colorways. Over two decades later, the “Lakers Away” version of the silhouette is set to debut in the market.
The color scheme of the shoe features the iconic “Varsity Purple” and “Del Sol” colors of the Lakers beneath a dominant black hue. The upper is composed of a mix of neoprene, canvas, and nubuck, with yellow branding on the tongue and purple accents at the heel. The sneaker is supported by a black sole unit, with the outsole predominantly featuring purple and gold.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache “Lakers Away” is expected to release this fall at a price of $125 USD through Nike and select retailers. Those who are eagerly waiting for the release of this shoe can look forward to getting their hands on it soon.
