New Black Hat AI tools, XXXGPT and Wolf GPT, Unleashed by Hackers
The rapid growth of generative AI technology is drastically reshaping the threat landscape, as malicious actors actively leverage this technology for illicit purposes. Additionally, deceptive chatbot services are now being fueled by two new copycat hacker tools that have emerged in response to the popularity of ChatGPT.
Recently, FalconFeeds.io identified these black hat AI tools as XXXGPT and Wolf GPT. XXXGPT, a malicious variant of ChatGPT, is being promoted by a user on a hacker forum and boasts illicit functionalities. On the other hand, Wolf GPT, a Python-built alternative to ChatGPT, assures complete confidentiality while harboring malicious intentions.
According to the developers of these tools, they possess advanced features and revolutionary capabilities. XXXGPT, in particular, claims to have a dedicated team of five experts who customize the tool for each project. In addition to XXXGPT and Wolf GPT, experts have also discovered two more tools based on ChatGPT’s technology.
The XXXGPT tool incorporates a wide range of dangerous features, including code for botnets, RATs (Remote Access Trojans), malware, keyloggers, crypters, infostealers, cryptostealers, POS (Point of Sale) malware, and ATM malware. On the other hand, Wolf GPT boasts complete confidentiality, powerful cryptographic malware creation, and advanced phishing attack capabilities.
The existence of these black hat AI tools raises serious concerns as they are easily accessible to both novice and skilled threat actors, enabling them to pursue monetary gains through malicious activities. In response, security researchers emphasize the importance of implementing a robust defense-in-depth strategy, providing BEC (Business Email Compromise) specific training, using strong security solutions, implementing enhanced email verification measures, and staying vigilant with the latest Cyber Security News. These measures are essential to mitigate the potential risks posed by the exploitation of these AI tools for nefarious purposes.
