The Nike Air Force 1, renowned as the first basketball shoe to incorporate Air cushioning technology, is about to unveil a new design element – exposed Air units. In this innovation, Nike has carved out sections of the midsole to reveal the revolutionary gas-filled pockets. While Nike has previously showcased visible Air technology in the Air Force 1, this marks the first instance of an external unit integrated into the sole.

The external unit can be seen along the outer edges of the platform, reminiscent of Air Max units, and is visible both at the heel and forefoot. The outsole of the shoe features a specific pattern that highlights the exact zones where the Air is exposed.

In addition to the exposed Air units, this unique Air Force 1 Mid (with an actual name yet to be determined) showcases uneven cut-out detailing on the Swoosh and the heel tab. Furthermore, the standard mid-foot strap on the Air Force 1 Mid has been shortened, covering only across the tongue. These design elements collectively offer a fresh and distinctive take on the classic Air Force 1 Mid silhouette.

Sneaker enthusiasts and fans can look forward to the release of these innovative Air Force 1 Mids later in the Holiday 2023 season, so stay tuned for more details.
