Jordan Brand’s “Reimagined” series presents modernized takes on classic retro designs, drawing inspiration from some of Michael Jordan’s most iconic original sneakers. After the release of the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined” earlier this year, the Jumpman team is now giving us a sneak peek at one of the upcoming additions to the series: the Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined.”
In contrast to the previously mentioned AJ 3 and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Lost and Found,” this new iteration breaks away from the traditional build of the Air Jordan 1 model. While the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG typically features smooth leather panels, the designers at Jordan have opted for buttery suede for the side panels and toe boxes in this version. The signature “Royal Blue” accents are retained, appearing in the usual places like the lower heel overlays, collars, Swooshes, and toe boxes. The quarters and surrounding overlays are presented in a solid black hue. The nylon tongues keep their original material and are adorned with Nike Air branding. The customary white midsoles and blue outsoles complete the design.
This Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined” offers a fresh perspective on a classic silhouette, combining the familiar with the new to create a unique and appealing iteration for sneaker enthusiasts.
Release for the pair remains anticipated for a November 4 launch date via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $180 USD.
