Air Jordan 1 High Golf “1961”
Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf are collaborating once again, this time utilizing the Air Jordan 1 High Golf as the foundational silhouette for a significant and commemorative release named the “1961.”
The left heel of the shoe is imprinted with the word “CHANGE,” while the right heel bears the year “1961.” These markings symbolize a pivotal moment in golf history when the PGA Tour abolished its ban on players of color.
Beyond the Eastside Golf Air Jordan, reports suggest that there are two more models set to launch as part of the “1961” collection, including a Jordan ADG 4 and an Air Jordan 6 Low Golf. Unfortunately, detailed information about these additional releases remains limited at this time.
Turning to the Eastside Golf Air Jordan 1 High Golf, the design incorporates a tasteful blend of colors, including Black, Malachite, Metallic Gold, and White. The shoes appear to be meticulously crafted using premium materials and showcase mesh tongues and inner linings.
Distinctive touches that tie the design together consist of “Eastside Golf” cursive lettering within the primary Swooshes, the brand’s golfing man logo on the tongue, “Eastside Golf” branding on the insoles, and gold-tipped laces that match the metallic gold Jordan Brand logo. Special hangtags and packaging are also rumored to be part of the package.
Priced at $200 USD, the Eastside Golf Jordan 1 High Golf “1961” is set to hit shelves on September 8. Look for its release at select Jordan Brand retailers, Stadium Goods, and Nike.
