Mimi Plange x Nike LeBron 20 “Ceremony” Drops Next Week
Over the past few years, Mimi Plange’s namesake brand has collaborated with Nike Basketball and LeBron James to create culturally-inspired colorways for the LeBron 18 Low. Now, in 2023, it has been announced that they are moving forward with the LeBron 20 just before the anticipated release of its successor, the recently-spotted LeBron 21.
In this latest iteration of the LeBron 20, “Bright Crimson” illuminates the predominantly white upper. Notably, the traditional knit treatment of the silhouette has been replaced with a more robust patterned finish. Over this base, vibrant floral graphics intertwine with the Swoosh logos, using the aforementioned orange hue to infuse life into its design. Adding further pops of color, a purple “Bold Berry” peeks out from beneath the laces, which themselves come in two distinct multicolored patterns. Co-branding is prominently featured on both the heel and sockliner, while an all-white sole unit completes the overall aesthetic.
Following its unveiling last month, the Mimi Plange x Nike (NYSE:NKE +0.98%) LeBron 20 “Ceremony” is set to release next week. This unique design draws inspiration from the Maasai people of Tanzania, incorporating mixed media details that embrace a variety of weaves, textures, and satin embroidery—a tribute to their mastery of intricate patterns. The release for this meticulously crafted pair is scheduled to commence on September 7 via Mimi Plange’s website, followed by a Nike launch on September 9, with a price tag of $250 USD.
