The Nike Air Max 90 Futura pushes the boundaries of what a sneaker bearing the iconic swoosh can be in 2023. While not entirely new, this reimagined design by Tinker Hatfield combines minimalism and futurism to create a fashion-forward statement rather than a pure performance product. Departing from the traditional string of overlays, the upper features a stripped-back arrangement that highlights the sneaker’s distinctive mudguard. The tongue showcases a layered construction, injecting a playful element into the Air Max 90 Futura. The mudguard is adorned with an iridescent finish, adding to its futuristic appeal.

Maintaining its heritage, the sole units retain their classic construction, providing a grounding element to the modern design. Cream-colored pillars within the visible Air Max bubbles create a striking contrast with the upper.
