Nike Air Force 1 Low “Bronx Origins”
In 2023, the hip-hop community commemorates the 50th anniversary of the influential genre, leading artists and brands to look back on its impact. Nike, too, is reflecting on this milestone and has chosen to pay homage to hip-hop’s connection with the Air Force 1 silhouette, a favorite among artists over the years. Last year, they released a special “Bronx Origins” pair in white to celebrate the AF1’s 40th anniversary, and now, they have unveiled a new black colorway.
This latest “Bronx Origins” edition features a unique New York City-themed record dubrae placed atop the laces on each shoe. The black and gold theme dominates the design, with black leather paneling and iridescent gold Swooshes adorning the sides. The tongue and heel branding also showcase a touch of gold, while the midfoot and tongue’s base exhibit a stylish dark gray adorned with a Swoosh pattern. A “Golden Celebration” hit can be found on the sockliner, and the translucent outsole of the white sole unit bears the “BRONX ORIGINS” text, making it stand out.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Bronx Origins” in black is set to release on August 11 through Nike‘s official channels and select retailers. Prices will start at $150 USD for those interested in grabbing a pair of this special edition sneaker.
