Nike LeBron 21 “Queen Conch”
Despite being the NBA’s eldest active player, LeBron James continues to showcase why he’s regarded as one of the basketball greats. Despite the Los Angeles Lakers maintaining just a marginally winning record, King James once again leads the Western Conference as captain in this year’s NBA All-Star Game. As customary, his current signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 21 for this season, is poised to commemorate the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities with a distinct color scheme.
Following last year’s reverse Swoosh-adorned LeBron 20s, a fresh “Queen Conch” colorway has emerged for the LeBron 21. Staying true to the silhouette’s theme inspired by oyster shells, this iteration draws inspiration from the Aliger gigas, commonly known as the Queen Conch — a sizable sea snail species. The upper mimics the orange hue and unique texture of the sea snail’s shell. Additionally, the sole unit and laces adopt a sandy green tone with brown speckles, paying homage to the Queen Conch’s body.
As of the current writing, Nike has yet to officially unveil release details for the “Queen Conch” version of the LeBron 21. Nonetheless, it is anticipated to be a focal point in the brand’s lineup for NBA All-Star Weekend, with a tentative release date slated for February 16 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced at approximately $210 USD.
